CARD Voices

Background

After the end of 1995 Five Associations were organized and established Christian Association For Rural Development (CARD) in which involved five Associations were started by none organization as known today. Such as Zophei Baptist Association, Zotung Baptist Association, Lautu Baptist Association, Senthang Baptist Association and Baptist Association of Mara land. Then four associations were added and now all of became more strong nine Associations in CARD organization after five years ago. New members are Zophei District United Pentecostal Church of Myanmar, Zotung Association of Baptist Churches, Vuangtu Area Council of Churches (VACC), Gankaw Baptist Association and Personal member. The creation of the CARD demonstrates the Organization’s dedication to improve living standards and alleviating the poverty of rural people in the Chin Hills.

As the cause and effect of organizing CARD is they know themselves are the poorest Associations in the Zomi Baptist Convention. So CARD has become a volunteer of its community since 1995.
